Dave Kammer began practicing law in 1993, shortly after his graduation from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of elder law/nursing home Medicaid planning, estate planning, and estate administration.
Dave has been practicing in the area of elder law/nursing home Medicaid planning since 2009. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and participates actively in multiple groups of elder law attorneys to stay abreast of the ever-changing Medicaid rules and to ensure that he is providing the best advice for his clients. Dave enjoys working with individuals and families to help provide peace of mind that their care or the care of a spouse or parent is being safeguarded, while preserving assets for the family.
Dave also advises individuals and couples on their estate plans, and prepares wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care powers of attorney to meet his clients’ specific needs. Dave brings his Medicaid knowledge to this area as well, crafting estate planning documents with an eye toward future Medicaid planning. Dave’s considerable experience with individual and fiduciary income taxes helps him to advise clients on tax-saving approaches to their estate planning.
Prior to joining Niehaus Law Office, Dave gained extensive litigation experience, primarily in the field of employment law, having litigated cases before administrative bodies and at all levels of the Ohio State Courts as well as the United States District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Dave and his wife, Suzanne, have three children.
